In “Out & About in My Community” we explore the ways that visiting or learning about nearby places supports language development and early literacy skills. Examples of activities that use community landmarks and commonly visited locations creatively to help children expand their vocabulary and understanding will be shared.

The goal is to identify and highlight the learning opportunities that going out into the community offer.
